Cesar Millan, jetting from troubled dog to troubled dog in a multi-city filming blitz for the upcoming TV season, draws mobs of devotees wherever he appears.

Earlier this month it was 1,400 people who showed up for a two-hour book signing in Miami. This week he's in Minneapolis, where similar swarming is greeting him.

America's most famous dog handler, star of National Geographic Channel's No. 1 Dog Whisperer, has in three seasons become a pop-culture icon, watched by dog owners and non-owners alike every Friday night, appreciated by millions who admire 60-minute terrible-to-terrific tales. NGC has signed him to an unprecedented 35 more episodes. His DVD comes out in August, and his second book arrives in October.
