SAN ANTONIO -- His mom called him "Boobie" because he's her baby.
Cleveland Cavaliers fans have embraced rookie guard Daniel Gibson and his nickname because he's a baby-faced assassin.
As the final seconds ticked down on a 98-82 victory against the Detroit Pistons that clinched the Cavaliers' first Eastern Conference title, Gibson couldn't help but hear the thunderous chants of "BOO-bie, BOO-bie, BOO-bie" that roared through Quicken Loans Arena from the emotionally jacked-up capacity crowd of 20,562.
"I got goose bumps," Gibson says. "It was something special. I could never imagine that happening for me. It was a blessing."
And well deserved for the Cavs' second-round draft pick from Texas. Gibson's Game 6 performance off the bench...
