The Real Dirt on Farmer John
Releases nationally July through August; Taggart Siegel, director; Cavu Pictures release.
John Peterson, 57, revived the family farm in Caledonia, Ill., by establishing a 120-acre farm called Angelic Organics. He runs a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm, where people in the community become shareholders. He feeds 5,000 to 6,000 people an assortment of vegetables (40 kinds) and herbs (12 kinds). A shorter version of this film aired on PBS in June 2006.
