Q: How do I copy video footage from a digital video camera to my computer?
A: There are three major formats for video cameras:
*Mini-DV records video to tape, and the tapes need to be transferred to the computer in real time, with a FireWire or USB cable plus video software. Windows computers come with free Windows Movie Maker. Apple offers iMovie, also free.
