His aim: Help NBC dodge 'an iceberg'

BEVERLY HILLS -- New NBC Entertainment co-chairman Ben Silverman greeted TV critics here Monday like a whirlwind, using rapid patter to promise swift change.
"I want to do it fast and furious," said Silverman, who replaced network chief Kevin Reilly in late May. "It's really hard to move this massive ship. We left port, we're in a business that is under attack, and we're an inch from an iceberg. We have to move quick, we have to roll up our sleeves and we have to get things done."
It remains to be seen whether his infectious energy will be enough to pull the network out of fourth place, but Silverman is starting at a rapid clip:
