*Discovery's summer crowd-pleaser, Shark Week, gets into full swim tonight: Great White Shark: Uncaged (8 ET/PT), Deadly Stripes: Tiger Sharks (9 ET/PT) and Top Five Eaten Alive (10 ET/PT). Keep that last title in mind the next time someone tries to tell you Shark Week is about education or dispelling sharky myths. It's about bites and frights, kids.
*We're certainly getting an odd grab bag of programs from the networks this summer. Take tonight's two-hour ABC special, Six Degrees of Martina McBride (9 ET/PT), in which six singers must track down the country singer in six "steps" to earn the right to an audition. The special is supposed to prove that we're all connected -- though it seems more likely to prove that we're all stalkers, and some of us are just better at it...
