We may be in the dog days of summer, but fans of vintage movies must be energized by the volume of DVD releases. Some are paired with other titles, as are two of the following. Here's a trio of new releases that should not fall through the cracks:
Les Enfants Terribles
1950, Criterion, unrated, $40
The sexual tension between teen sibling roommates grows ickier when their mom dies and escalates when the duo turns into an unsavory quartet. This influenced Francois Truffaut and other French New Wave directors. Jean Cocteau wrote the script, and Jean-Pierre Melville directed. The movie played in U.S. theaters as The Strange Ones.
