Start-up: Canadian start-up Porter Airlines plans as many as eight daily flights to Newark airport from its Toronto base in early 2008, challenging Air Canada, Continental and United.
Wireless: Alaska Airlines says it will be the first U.S. carrier to test a satellite-based in-flight wireless Internet service. Seattle-based Alaska plans to install broadband service on a Boeing 737 jet next spring. If it works, the service will be added to all 114 aircraft.
Parking: JFK airport has started valet parking. It's located near the Lefferts Boulevard AirTrain JFK Station. Cost: $36 per day, plus $18 for every additional 12 hours.
