Alliance partners: Air Canada and Star Alliance partner Lufthansa are planning the expansion of service between Canada and Germany. On May 1, Lufthansa adds seasonal nonstop service between Toronto and Dusseldorf, operating a daily round-trip flight. Service runs through October. Air Canada will sell seats through its codeshare partnership with Lufthansa. On June 1, Air Canada begins flying nonstop between Ottawa and Frankfurt, operating a daily round-trip flight. Service is year-round. On April 14, Lufthansa adds a daily round-trip flight between Calgary and Frankfurt, complementing Air Canada's daily round-trip flight between the cities.
