Hester's two TDs spark Bears to crucial OT win

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears salvaged their slim playoff hopes. The Denver Broncos blew an opportunity to retain a share of first place in the AFC West Division.

Both are relative footnotes, however, to the newest chapter in the remarkable young career of Bears kick returner Devin Hester, who returned a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown to tie the NFL season record for combined kick returns for TDs with five -- the record he set as a rookie last year.

Hester's 75-yard punt return and 88-yard kickoff return, both in the third quarter, helped the Bears pull out a 37-34 overtime victory against the Broncos, who coughed up a 14-point lead in the final 71/2 minutes of the fourth quarter.
