'GQ' men toss around names for Oscars

LOS ANGELES -- One day after actresses at a Women in Entertainment function spoke of the lack of Oscar-worthy female roles in 2007, it was the men's turn to rate their male peers at Wednesday's GQ Men of the Year party at the Chateau Marmont.

The answers, this time, proved plentiful.

"We've had a few years with a large number of female contenders like The Hours, but every year is the year of the men," noted Jon Hamm of AMC's Mad Men.

"Unfortunately," piped in his girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt (ABC's Notes From the Underbelly), who singled out Ryan Gosling's performance in Lars and the Real Girl as a standout.
