Pushing Daisies (ABC)

Anyone who wants to know why good writers are worth all the money they want need look only at the beautifully imagined, startlingly original, rainbow-colored world created by Bryan Fuller for this sweetly comic romantic fantasy. And as in all the best fantasies, there's more going on than meets the eye, as Fuller weaves an often poignant allegory on modern isolation and the power and danger of human touch. Those who just see cutesy whimsy aren't looking nearly hard enough.
