*Jack's back, which is great news indeed for fans of one of TV's most entertaining sci-fi romps, Torchwood (BBC America, Saturday, 9 ET/PT). This cult-favorite import begins its second season with the return of Capt. Jack -- a role that has made the ultra-appealing John Barrowman a big star in Britain and may do so here in the USA. To add to the adult-only fun, he's hooking up with Buffy's James Marsters, playing a fellow Time Agent who shares a very tempestuous history with the omnisexual Jack. The aliens are as silly-looking as always, but the acting is first-rate, and the banter is a witty, sometimes naughty delight. Let's just say it's the only show in which the exchange "That's gorgeous." "That's a poodle." could make sense.
