Feagles finally hits the sweet spot

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Punter Jeff Feagles voiced optimism throughout the first 19 years of his NFL career whenever friends asked him if he thought his team could make the playoffs that season and have a shot at the Super Bowl.
Whether he was playing for the New England Patriots (1988-89), the Philadelphia Eagles (1990-93), the Arizona Cardinals (1994-97), the Seattle Seahawks (1998-2002) or the New York Giants, that optimism had always been misplaced until he changed his approach before this season.
He expressed some doubt about how the Giants might fare.
"I really got tired of having high expectations," says Feagles, 41, "and not getting there."
