INDIANAPOLIS -- Jim Boeheim will not be amused.

Twenty writers well-versed in college basketball stepped into the shoes of the 10-man committee that selects and seeds the NCAA men's tournament Wednesday and early Thursday and -- using the same array of statistical data and NCAA staff assistance available to the committee -- drew up a 65-team mock bracket that:

*Predictably anointed undefeated Memphis as the top overall seed and UCLA, Kansas and Duke as the other No.1s, in that order.

*Placed four Pacific-10 teams among the top 16 seeds, making Stanford a No.2 and Washington State and Arizona No.4s.

*Handed five bids to the Atlantic 10, which would match its most ever. League front-runners Xavier, Saint Joseph's and Rhode Island made the...
