Senator should leave NFL 'Spygate' alone

0 Comments | USA TODAY, February, 2008

Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., has questioned National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell about the videotapes from the "Spygate" investigation. This explains why this country is in such disarray ("Growing controversy refuses to go away," Sports, Feb. 4).

Goodell took care of it. The NFL destroyed the videotapes. Specter needs to focus on the business of being a lawmaker. What nonsense is this for a senator to involve himself in? Maybe Pennsylvania voters should replace him the next go-around. I once had more respect for Specter, but he has gotten out of touch.
