The torch relay path not taken

If only the Chinese had asked, we could have helped them with this Olympic torch relay thing.

Rule1. When you're trying to keep a shady rep on human rights under wraps you don't hold parades in places like London or Paris.

And the choice for today's jog? San Francisco. Are you nuts?

I watched the People's Park uprising in Berkeley as a kid in the '60s. I remember the day they passed a pickaxe around the crowd, tore a hole through the street asphalt and planted a redwood tree. (Take that, Pentagon!)
