Panning Herschel Walker syndrome
When USA TODAY's Tom Weir interviewed Herschel Walker for his new book, Breaking Free, the former football superstar braced himself for comments about his longtime medical condition, dissociative identity disorder (DID).
"I know that's coming. Make the jokes, that's all well and good," Walker said.
Still, the 1982 Heisman Trophy winner and 12-year NFL veteran probably didn't anticipate Wednesday's column by Mike Freeman of CBSSports.com.
Walker is "an attention whore," a "brilliant marketer" and a "violent thug," Freeman wrote.
Talk about getting thrown for a loss.
