Remember 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall'

What audiences may want to know most about Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the latest in the steady output produced by comedy impresario Judd Apatow, is simply: Is it as funny as Knocked Up or Superbad?

The answer is not quite, but it's still full of laughs. The cringingly wacky scenarios, offbeat characters and comic dialogue serve up a crowd-pleasing, laugh-filled experience.

The good-natured story and likable characters offset the comedy's unevenness, particularly its lagging final half hour. An unlikely full-frontal nude scene reminds us that even after Borat's infamous wrestling bout, we can still be put off by the ordinary human form in an awkward and emotionally vulnerable situation.
