'Betty' spices up its salon, stories and guest stars

HOLLYWOOD -- Inside the Suarez home on the Ugly Betty set, things look about the same as before the writers' strike. Justin (Mark Indelicato) is dressed up as Grease's Danny Zuko and complaining about having to go to the school dance. Dad Ignacio (Tony Plana) and daughter Hilda (Ana Ortiz) are in foul moods, thanks to colds.

And Betty's (America Ferrera) her usual chipper self, as is Ferrera, who earlier in the day, with Indelicato, burst into a chorus of Flo Rida and T-Pain's Low. "We got really into it," says Indelicato.

But not everything's as it was as Ugly Betty returns to ABC's lineup tonight (8 ET/PT). Hilda's at-home hair salon is transformed, with a leopard styling chair, a plastic-covered sofa and walls painted blinding shades of turquoise and mint....
