Clemson's talent to get early test

After so much waiting, has Clemson's breakout season finally arrived? Quarterback Cullen Harper, running backs James Davis and C.J. Spiller, wide receiver Aaron Kelly and defensive lineman Dorell Scott have returned. Still, the Tigers have four new starters on their offensive line. "I've got some questions concerning the offensive line with them being so young," coach Tommy Bowden said after the spring game. "That will be a concern, especially with such a quality opponent in our opener. But, with our returners and leaders, I feel good about the season." Clemson will find out about itself immediately. The Tigers open Aug. 30 vs. Alabama in Atlanta. They also travel to Wake Forest, Boston College, Florida State and Virginia. ... Clarity didn't come for Virginia Tech's quarterback...
