Duke gets No. 1 seed in lacrosse tourney

Duke earned the top seed in the NCAA men's lacrosse tournament for the second consecutive year, but Georgetown, the only team to beat the Blue Devils in the regular season, won't be around for a rematch. Instead, the Great Western Lacrosse League will send an unprecedented three members to the 16-team field.

Duke (16-1) will host Loyola (Md.) in the first round. Georgetown finished with a 9-4 mark but lost its finale at Penn State on Saturday and was not selected.

Notre Dame won the GWLL tournament Sunday, beating Ohio State 9-2, and earned the NCAA's No.6 seed. The Fighting Irish host a first-round contest against Colgate, which improved its position by beating Syracuse on Saturday.
