The major networks unveil their fall schedules to advertisers this week in New York, but NBC is absent from the list: The network jumped the gun in April.

Instead, today it will formally announce plans for comedian Jimmy Fallon (Saturday Night Live) to replace Conan O'Brien as the host of Late Night. O'Brien will step down by early next year, part of a long-planned transition that will see him fill Jay Leno's seat at The Tonight Show by September 2009.

Also on tap for late August, after the Olympics: Momma's Boys, a new reality show produced by Ryan Seacrest, "that asks possessive mothers to choose the perfect bride-to-be for their sons."
