Bulls nab No. 1 pick in draft

The Chicago Bulls capped off a disappointing season by beating hefty odds to win the NBA's draft lottery Tuesday, giving them the No.1 pick in the June26 draft.
They are expected to choose between a pair of outstanding freshmen: 6-4 point guard Derrick Rose of NCAA runner-up Memphis and 6-9 forward Michael Beasley of Kansas State.
Bulls general manager John Paxson was thanking his lucky stars but was not about to tip his hand.
"I don't think there's any doubt that those two names are at the top right now," Paxson said. "We'll have the opportunity to get both those guys in and get to know them and really take a long look at what makes the most sense for our basketball team.
