Do-it-all Gibson takes on Va. Tech's Tincher

When Texas A&M plays Virginia Tech today in the Women's College World Series at Oklahoma City, the game will feature two All-America pitchers in seniors Megan Gibson for the Aggies and Angela Tincher for the Hokies.

Statistically, Tincher is clearly the better pitcher. Gibson, however, has an edge in versatility.

In addition to being the top pitcher for the Aggies, Gibson also plays first base and leads the team with 13 home runs to go with a .345 average.

"It has been very healthy for me to play other positions," Gibson said. "My reaction to certain aspects at each position comes from my experience at other positions."
