As of Friday morning, 4,080 U.S. servicemembers and 11 Defense Department civilians had been identified as having died in the Iraq war: 3,332 from hostile action and 759 from non-combat-related incidents.
Latest deaths identified:
Three soldiers from the Army's 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) died Wednesday in Tikrit of wounds suffered in Sharqat when enemy forces attacked with small-arms fire and hand grenades:
*Sgt. Shane P. Duffy, 22, Taunton, Mass.
*Spc. Jonathan D.A. Emard, 20, Mesquite, Texas.
*Sgt. Cody R. Legg, 23, Escondido, Calif.
