Skater Burnquist finds balance on Dew Tour

Bob Burnquist is a skateboarder for all seasons.
The 31-year-old Brazil native has been involved with skating since his boyhood days in Sao Paulo. A pro at 14, he has experienced the no-cash soul sport days, the blinding lights of X Games and Dew Tour stardom, and digital fame as a key character in some of the world's most popular skateboard video games.
As he prepares for this week's AST Dew Tour season opener, the Panasonic Open in Baltimore, Burnquist sees the really big picture.
"Life is busy for me," he said Monday in a phone interview. "I've got a lot of fun things to do. The AST Dew Tour is strictly competition, but that's just one side of skating."
