What does Dale Earnhardt Jr. do for an encore?
After his first victory in 77 Cup races, Earnhardt heads to another track where he has never won, the 1.99-mile road course in Sonoma, Calif.
In his favor: Earnhardt is running as well as any other driver in NASCAR, with 11 top-10 finishes in the 15 races this year, and remains third in the standings.
Working against him: Earnhardt has never finished better than 11th in eight starts at Infineon, where in 2004 he had a fiery crash in a Corvette during an American Le Mans Series practice.
