The trade deadline approaches, so would the Boston Red Sox trade Ramirez? Maybe, especially since, as the Boston Herald's Steve Buckley wrote: "'Manny Ramirez Show' proving far too expensive"
But unlikely. GM Theo Epstein says it would be difficult to get fair value for Ramirez, who also has a no-trade clause. And Ramirez told ESPN Deportes: "There will be no trade, I'm staying in Boston."
