Packers move on minus Favre

The Green Bay Packers held their first training camp practice Monday, and it marked a milestone for the franchise.
Brett Favre was not invited.
This certainly didn't bring out Favre protesters en masse. There seemed to be a ho-hum acceptance of his absence. There were no visible homemade signs expressing outrage, and only a handful of the few hundred fans lining Oneida Street to watch the morning session wore Favre's familiar No.4.
Not even the guy stalking the scene on stilts wore No.4.
Still, Favre's absence ranks with Vince Lombardi quitting, Reggie White signing and the Ice Bowl among the seismic shifts in franchise history.
