As of Friday morning, 4,133 U.S. servicemembers and 11 Defense Department civilians had been identified as having died in the Iraq war: 3,368 from hostile action and 776 from non-combat-related incidents.
Latest deaths identified:
*Army Cpl. James M. Hale, 23, Naperville, Ill.; died Wednesday in Baghdad from wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device; 978th Military Police Company.
*Marine Pfc. Daniel A.C. McGuire, 19, Mashpee, Mass.; died Thursday while supporting combat operations in Anbar province; 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force.
