JAMES M. HAULE is professor of English at the University of Texas-Pan American, Edinburg, Texas. He is a member of the editorial committee of the Shakespeare Head Press edition of Virginia Woolf. Along with Philip H. Smith Jr., he is the editor of The Waves and the three-volume Garland Concordance to the Novels of Virginia Woolf. He is currently at work on a book: Virginia Woolf: Editing and Interpreting the Modernist Text.
