ANNE FOATA is Maitre de conferences at the Universite des Sciences Humaines in Strasbourg, France. She teaches American and British literature and has published papers on George Washington Cable, Kate Chopin, Harry Crews, Gail Godwin, Andrew Lytle, Ford Madox Ford, and E. M. Forster in various American and French scholarly journals.
