New in 1999
As we move toward the year 2000, AFAA is again expanding TeleFitness services. In 1999, AFAA will add more than 30 new topics and 1,000 entries to the Fitness Gets Personal[R] database. TeleFitness services will be expanded to include fitness information management and referral services to corporations with employees at non-centralized locations. AFAA is also proud to debut FitTown[TM], global fitness community where people who want to lead healthy, fit lives meet and interact through chats, bulletin boards and other community activities hosted by FitTown community coordinators worldwide.
Exclusive Features
Many of the new services provided by FitTown and the TeleFitness Center will be available for "members only." These services and activities will include private chat rooms, online continuing education, access to the expanded Fitness Gets Personal Information Search, private AFAA Consultant bulletin boards (for AFAA Consultants and Examiners only) and free Web pages for authorized Continuing Education providers. To access any of these "members only" services at either Web site, simply type in your AFAA member number when directed, including any letter which may be at the end of your number. Click "submit" to be issued a user name and password. Your user name and password will allow access to the sites so long as your AFAA membership is current.
Introduction of these services will occur throughout the coming year, so visit the sites often and learn how you can maximize your AFAA membership benefits. Get connected and stay in touch at http://www.afaa.com and http://www.fittown.com.
