Change of pace - Step Up - Letter to the Editor

American Fitness,  March-April, 2002  by Charles Herring

I chose AFAA as my primary fitness educator because of the wide array of educational formats offered. After 25 years of being involved in law enforcement, I am currently pursuing a career change. I have always been a fitness enthusiast and now at 48 years old, I am refocusing my efforts to the fitness field. I have been certified in kickboxing, completed my primary and currently studying to be personal trainer.

I feel AFAA supplies the educational tools needed to become a successful fitness instructor. My goals are to climb the ladder of fitness success with AFAA by becoming an examiner and hopefully a trainer. I believe AFAA can get me there. Keep up the great work.
