Where's the Jazz? - Step Up - Letter to the Editor

American Fitness,  March-April, 2004

I read with great interest in your July/August 2003 issue that there is a new aerobic workout inspired by Chicago and was so excited I immediately began trying to contact the people mentioned in your article, "All That Jazz." Unfortunately, nobody at the New York Sports Clubs I spoke to knew anything about the workout or the name of the woman mentioned in the article.

Could you provide more specific information--names, addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, etc.--of the people I can contact to get this workout? I am currently undergoing aerobics instructor training in a very competitive area and I'd like to be able to say I can offer it.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for inquiring, Mike. The Chicago Cardio Broadway Dance class is no longer offered at New York Sports Clubs, but Town Sports International is getting ready to roll out a new silver screen-inspired class this spring, Dirty Dancing--Havana Nights. You can find out where to take a class by contacting Lisa Hufcut, director of Program Services, at (212) 246-6700, ext. 203 of e-mail her at lisa.hufcut@town-sports.com.

Jennifer Howard, who was featured in the "All That Jazz" article, co-created the Broadway Dance Series offered at Town Sports International.
