On November 22nd and 23rd, 2003, AFAA conducted the first bilingual Primary Certification Workshop in the Republic of Korea. Tongwon College, well known in South Korea for its Recreational Sports Department, hosted the program, which was attended by 25 Koreans and three Americans. Jill Casey, AFAA master specialist, conducted the program while Chong Yeon Ok, AFAA associate consultant, hosted the event and translated. Jenny Brown, AFAA examiner, acted as the third examiner.

Thanks to the work of Chong, the new AFAA Standards and Guidelines, along with the Primary Certification study guide and written examination, are now available in the Hangul language,
