Upgrading the circle
American Fitness, May-June, 2003
Balanced Body, manufacturer of Pilates equipment, has updated Joseph Pilates' Magic Circle with the Ultra-Lite Circle ($32.95), a lightweight, body-toning device. Designed for total body conditioning, the Ultra-Lite Circle is ideal for problem areas, such as the inner and outer thighs, upper arms, chest and pelvic floor. Measuring 14" in diameter and weighing only 10 ounces, it is made of flexible plastic with a soft, rubberized shell and comfortable padded handles.
"It's one of the most comfortable and portable toning tools I have used and an asset to any fitness program," says Ken Edelman, Balanced Body's founder and chief executive. "[It] is effective for toning the entire body."
The Ultra-Lite Circle includes a 15-minute training video featuring Pilates expert Shelly Power and can be purchased at (800) PILATES or www.pilates.com.
