Gimnasio Exerzone in Guatemala City buzzed with excitement the weekend of March 13th to 14th. AFAA conducted the Primary Group Exercise Certification course and the Creative Muscle Conditioning and Indoor Cycling workshops. With over 110 participants from Guatemala City and Antigua, Guatemala, as well as San Salvador, El Salvador, in attendance and classes reaching maximum capacity, the high-energy event overflowed with enthusiasm.
Ana Pena De Salles, Exerzone manager and program director, has hosted AFAA events regularly since 1996. Pena comments, "The event in March was indeed the highest in attendance and the courses were attended by group exercise instructors personal trainers and weight room instructors." Lisa Hamlin, AFAA certification specialist, adds, "The participants were well prepared, enthusiastic and the response to the Indoor Cycling workshop was unbelievable."
AFAA is pleased to announce Gimnasio Exerzone will host the APEX Conference from September 17th to 19th for the first time in Guatemala City. Scheduled courses and workshops include: International Personal Trainer Certification (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), KickBoxing Certification (Saturday and Sunday), Mat Science I Workshop (Saturday), Mat Science H Workshop (Sunday), Creative Ball Workshop (Friday), Indoor Cycling Workshop (Saturday) and 1-2-3 Step Choreography Workshop (Sunday).
