Besides her twice-a-week nursing home visits, Duffy is a spokesperson for Organon, a pharmaceutical firm deeply rooted in research and development for women's health care issues. "I'm working with Organon to educate women on five areas of health that may affect them at some point in their lives," she says. "These areas include contraception, infertility, menopause, depression and osteoporosis. Today's woman is faced with competing demands, so health matters are often pushed to the back burner until the problem is too serious to ignore. I want to encourage women to educate themselves, know the issues, know the symptoms and take responsibility for their health."

Duffy's advice to women is to maintain a smoothly running machine. "If you don't take care of your body, where are you going to live.
