CATHY LEE CROSBY'S BEAUTIFUL BODY WORKOUT

Cathy Lee Crosby's 20-minute program stands out in a crowd: it's valid, it's her own, and it's downright effective. Careful with her claims, Crosby knows full well that the program is not specifically designed to be an aerobic tape or a calorie burner. Her workout is an authentic, home-grown series of calisthenics that she does faithfully every day except Sunday ("even God took a break," she claims). Her drop-dead hardbody physique is testimonial to the effectiveness of the unusual little combination of five stretches and 13 toning movements.

Crosby's inspiration came from a 70-year-old weight trainer, bodybuilder and athlete who gave the actress some streamlined pointers for building her lean muscle during a highly stressful time. She reports losing a year of momentum to the ravages of Epstein Barr, or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome virus. A former tennis champion, trapeze artists, all-around athlete, dancer and performer, this is the program that put Crosby back on her feet - and gave her one of the "tightest buns in town," according to the back-up team of four well muscled men.

Reviewers cautioned to work up to the full number of repetitions slowly. They all agreed the pelvic lifts were performed too high off the ground. A few noted there was no secure furniture in their living room to perform some of the moves, such as the power lifts.
