JANE FONDA'S LIGHT AEROBICS AND STRESS-REDUCTION PROGRAM

Indefatigable Fonda does it again. She had a knack for introducing a new category - just when you thought that there were no more possible aerobic innovations. You can almost hear the marketing wizards at Warner Home Video: What do people want these days? They want to go "light" with everything from beer to exercise. So, why not - Light Aerobics. It's everything you've ever wanted from a workout...and less.

Reviewers noted that no new ground-shaking discoveries were brought forth in this program. It's classic Fonda with a new twist - the 15-minute stress-reduction segment is a traditional series of progressive muscle-relaxing exercises. The first part of the tape has 20 minutes of beginner level aerobics with better than average music and good encouragement. Next, the program offers 20 minutes of full-body stretching. The production is state-of-the-art for American Fitness' celebrity category, and there's really no doubt as to why - this fitness video pioneer has just passed the five-million-unit mark for sales this year.
