THE LONGEVITY EXERCISE PROGRAM

Buy this tape and you get your very own bio-magnetic chi stick - probably your first. Philip Lansky, an Iowa physician, and his wife, Shen Yu, a Chinese traditional doctor, created this unique program based on a system of ancient Chinese health exercises known as Quigong ("chee-kung"). He narrates while she leads you through a series of forms: the Crouching Form, to strengthen the thighs; the Back Bending Form, to open the lumbar region; the Back Relaxing Form, to open the neck and shoulders and the Arm Rotating Form, to open the chest and breathing. The tai chi stick is held between the palms, stimulating acupuncture points attributed to longevity. The traditional claim is the exercises tone the internal organs, purge the body of toxins and prolong life. Quigong is an excellent method of practicing interconnectedness of body and mind, which is the heart of Chinese exercise.
