Beneficiary Survey-Based Feedback on New Medicare Informational Materials

We still do not know whether beneficiaries have sufficient understanding and adequate decisionmaking skills to make informed choices. This is a major concern as beneficiaries are asked to make complex choices among an expanded array of options and are given a greater volume of information to support those choices.

Improving decision support systems for beneficiaries is an enormous challenge and better informational materials are one step in that direction.
