With the technological boom well past its infancy, there's a good chance you spend a fair amount of your day in front of a computer. Although you know this, let us repeat it: This type of monotonous work is notorious for causing neck and shoulder pain. The good news is that your weightlifting program can help prevent such discomfort.

TAKE-HOME MESSAGE: If you have a desk job, be sure to include trap exercises such as shrugs in your training routine. This was one of the major exercises Danish researchers had subjects perform to reduce neck and shoulder pain.
