Your post-workout pint

Reserachers at Granada Univetsity in Spain are now officially man's new best friengd: They've discovered that drinking beer postworkout may be better at hydrating the body than water. The study involved 25 subjects who ran in tempoeratures tha t exceeded 100 degrees F until exhaustion. Afterward, one group was given water and the other was given two hal-pints of beer.

Turns out the "rehydration effects" in the beer group were slightly better that in the group given water. The scientists believe the sugars, salts and bubbles in beer hydrate people more quickly than plain old [H.sup.2]O.
