BSN on American Chopper

Muscle & Fitness, July, 2008

Bio-Engineered Supplements and Nutrition, Inc., got a new set of wheels. On a recent episode of the popular cable show American Chopper, Paul Teutul Sr.'s Orange County Choppers team built a one-of-a-kind BSN-themed chopper bike. The show, which aired on TLC April 24, also featured eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman, a BSN and Weider athlete.

With Coleman and some of BSN's other elite athletes present, the Orange County Choppers crew decided to put together an impromptu OCC-style strongman competition, with some thoroughly entertaining events such as the "Chopper-Tire Discus Throw" and the "Engine-Block Relay Race."

"We're very excited to have appeared on American Chopper, as well as to have the opportunity to showcase BSN as a company and some of our incredibly effective products like N.O.-XPLODE to a huge TV audience," BSN Director of Marketing James Tracy said.

During the episode, BSN also commissioned the production of an additional replica chopper bike, with plans to donate 100% of the proceeds from its sale to the Warrior Transition Unit of the Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point, New York.

"We wanted to do something to give back to the soldiers who put their lives on the line every day protecting our country," BSN Vice President and Co-Founder Scott James said. "We photographed the bike's unveiling at a soldier's monument in West Point, New York, near the Keller Army Community Hospital. It made us all feel proud."
