Sylvia Bellows - Brief Article

Accent on Living,  Summer, 2000

Of the twenty-or-so members of the Bloomington Chorus of Sweet Adelines, Inc. who meet once a week to practice, two are disabled. Sylvia Bellows, a post polio, (in wheelchair) has been harmonizing since 1993. Debbie Marx, who has spina bifida (standing next to her), has sung with the group since 1998.

Sweet Adelines, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that educates its members in the art of singing four-part harmony, barbershop style, without instrumental accompaniment. Its motto is: "Harmonize the world."
