The souper bowl

Nutrition Action Healthletter, Nov, 2006

Best Bites have no more than 350 milligrams of sodium. Honorable Mentions can have up to 480 mg. Both have no more than 2 grams of bad fat (saturated plus trans, though there's no trans in most soups).

We used a 1 cup (8 oz.) serving for soups that come in a multi-serve can or package. For soups that come in a single-serve container, we used the entire cup, bowl, or pouch. That's why our numbers may not match what's on the label.

Within each section, soups are ranked from least to most sodium, then most to least fiber, then least to most calories.
