Make it easy

Vegetarian Times,  Dec, 2001  by Bonnie Sorak

I have been a subscriber since I became a vegan six years ago, and I am disappointed in the new recipe format. Without any symbols at the top to indicate if the recipes contain eggs, dairy or cheese, I waste time reading recipes in which these are integral ingredients. I know it must be difficult to come up with categories that make everyone happy, but please consider going back to one of your older formats. It really was more helpful.

As part of a graphic redesign of Vegetarian Times, we took out the references to egg- and dairy-free that had been posted atop the recipes. We quickly found out that what looked better to us had created a hardship for many of you. So we have come up with what we think is a better solution: An easy-to-read recipe index in the front of the magazine that categorizes the recipes. Check it out on p. 6.
